Bloemencorso Bollenstreek 2025 | Noordwijk

During spring a part of the Netherlands changes into a sea of flowers. Most flower bulb fields bloom from the end of March to the beginning of May. The crocuses and daffodils bloom first and then the hyacinths and tulips follow. The Netherlands is perfectly suitable for tulip growing, thanks to the long springs with cool nights. The levelled dunes and healthy sea air in the Bollenstreek have the right ingredients to let the flower bulbs grow optimally and create world’s most colourful scenery every spring.

The Bollenstreek is located between Amsterdam and The Hague. Most flower bulb fields can be found in the dunes around the charming flower villages Lisse, Hillegom, Noordwijkerhout and Voorhout. Once a year, a flower parade with many lavishly decorated floats is held in this area. The perfect way to discover this area is to jump on a bike and follow the Bollenstreek Flower Route. On this route you don’t only see the flower fields, but you’ll also be amazed by the beautiful dune area and beaches.
