In these unusual times we follow all the measures of the Dutch government to guarantee the safety of our guests. We’d like to explain how we do this and clarify our cancellation policy.
Health is our priority
Boutique Hotel d’Oude Morsch is open! Guests can book a night with us or book one of our rooms for just a day to get some work done if they can’t concentrate at home. However, we follow a different service policy, because the safety and health of our guests and our team is our priority.
Since the beginning of the outbreak we have taken the necessary preventive measures. We closely monitor every development around the corona-virus and follow all the hygiene and safety protocols of the RIVM (National Institute of Public Health and the Environment). Our employees keep their distance, wash and disinfect their hands frequently and stay home at any type of symptoms. We also follow the necessary measures when an employee has come into contact with the corona-virus.
Checking in and out will be contactless. We serve breakfast in the room, instead of our usual breakfast buffet. Our bar is unfortunately closed. Guests can make us of the minibar in their room.
Daily life has come to a standstill, we’d like to think along with our guests to help them find their way in Leiden. There are many places that offer coffee to go or take away dinner. Our own restaurant is closed, but we will gladly arrange for our guests to eat their take away dinner in our lobby.
We offer maximum flexibility
Due to the current situation we have decided to ease our cancellation policy until further notice.
Normally nonrefundable reservations (prepaid reservations with a 10% discount on the price for the room) can’t be cancelled free of charge. We understand there is a lot of insecurity about the possibilities to travel. Therefore we offer our guests a voucher valued at the prepaid amount when they cancel a nonrefundable reservation. Please be aware: this applies to nonrefundable reservations made before March 12th 2020 only!
Group reservations (reservations for three rooms or more) can normally be cancelled free of charge up to 21 days before the arrival date. We have decided to ease this policy as well.
Until further notice group reservations can be cancelled free of charge up to 7 days before the arrival date.
Our normal cancellation policy still applies to regular reservations that are booked directly via Boutique Hotel d’Oude Morsch. This means that these reservations can be cancelled free of charge up to 48 hours before the arrival date.
Third party booking websites (such as Booking or Expedia) follow their own cancellation policies. If you have made a reservation via such a booking website, please check their cancellation policy.
This way we will try to make your stay as “normal” and pleasant as possible. Because we can only get through this time together!
